Ahh Murderbot

Artificial Condition - Martha Wells

Continuing in the Hugo read, and wow is there a lot to read and watch in this list, I'm going to be hard pressed to get through all of this.  I'm going to concentrate on the modern Hugo nominees first, helped by the packet.  I'm trying to cycle between lengths; mostly so I don't end up with a lot of long novels to read later.

I enjoyed Murderbot when I happened on the first book and I wasn't disappointed by book 2.  The author seems to still be having a lot of fun with this character and with trying to understand how they work.  Now they are trying to find out what happened earlier in their career to make them go berserk and kill the humans they were supposed to protect.  In order to get there they have to get a lift from a ship, only to find out that the ship has plans, and wants to help in their own way.  This complicated things.  Then they discover that in order to go to the planet where they had their incident they will have to get a job. This also brings it's own complications and issues.

I love this series.  Murderbot is quite cool.
