Good Gods but Styxx went through a lot of abuse at the hands of almost everyone he knew, to come out the other side with even a modicum of sanity or compassion is astounding and to know that Sherrilyn Kenyon based some of the abuse on personal experience? Wow.

Styxx is Acheron's brother, his twin, the one who appeared to be favoured, who appeared to be having a much better life than his brother. However his life was as full of abuse, only his was subtler, less overt and every time he tried to make his, or anyone elses life better it seemed to foul things up.

However he manages to keep sane (for certain values of sane) and with a sense of humour intact and willing to help to keep evil at bay. I loved the story and the characters and want more.
