This story spans a few generations, what happened in the past is coming to roost in the present and there's a bit of a message here about vaccination. In 1930 Jonathan Ketchem's wife Jane declared that her husband had left, leaving her with their only remaining child. Decades later her legacy of a clinic is under threat and it's doctor disappears.
Clare Fergusson and Russ Alstyne both try to stay apart but their relationship is fraught and they both are trying to do the right thing. I did see some of the story coming but it was still entertaining. Also the message about vaccination was a little heavy-handed
