Masquerade (Blue Bloods, Book 2)

Masquerade - Melissa de la Cruz The story opens with Schuyler Van Allen in Venice with her best friend Oliver looking for her grandfather. When she finds him he's not as interested in the issue as she hoped he would be. She has to return to New York to deal with the issues and to try to come to terms with her change to vampirism, she also has to deal with her relationship with people around her, and the fact that apart from her grandfather, she's alone in the world, and he isn't her legal guardian! It's not bad, there were places that were glossed over very quickly but that's somewhat to be expected with a YA book. However there were also places that things jumped a little too quickly and then slowed down too quickly afterwards. Consequences were hinted at but not shown.
