The Goose Girl
A masterfull re-telling of the goose girl story, which is very powerful and very engaging. It's the story of a princess who goes to another kingdom to wed, only to have her servant take her place and for her to become a goose girl. She bides her time to tell the truth, but how does she tell her truth and be believed. It deals with the issues of truth and magic and friendship.
I really enjoyed reading this story, it left me with a taste for more of Shannon Hales' stuff.
