Cameron MacDonald is clan chief and police chief of a small Massachusetts town happily married to the local florist, Allie, who occasionally embarasses him by bringing him flowers. In a town where generations of MacDonald's have grown up he has a place and a role in the town that sometimes chafes.
When a cousin turns up with the body of his wife that he admits killing he has to work as both a police chief and clan chief.
Then Allie hires an assistant, Mia, and Cameron finds her very attractive, but what will he do about the attraction?
