I came to this book knowing that Anansi was a spider god, and a god of stories. I'd seen several people rant and rave about how good it was. They weren't wrong. It's a compelling read and excellently put on paper by Neil Gaiman. I would recommend it to people who enjoy a light fiction read.
When Charlie Nancy was younger he got the nickname of Fat Charlie and it stuck. He never knew that his father was Anansi the Spider God. He gets the news that his father is dead and he has to go back to America from London to attend the funeral, along the way he discovers his brother and when his brother returns with him his life starts unravelling.
