Deathstalker Prelude

Deathstalker Prelude - Simon R. Green Interesting set of stories that ultimately have the feel of his fantasy stories in space. This is a trilogy of books set in the same world as his Deathstalker books, but it is not necessary to have read that trilogy to understand them. Being really a series of books setting the tone of what the worlds were like before the rebellion and why it would be that anyone would want to upset the status quo. Mistworld is a world where the outlaws go, when an ex-investigator's husband is killed the killers set her loose and she will fix the issues. Ghostworld is a place where the Empire came in and cleaned up, but the wind has shapes and voices and one of those voices was a man. Now the man who ordered the wiping of the planet is back asking a favour. Hellworld is a place with strange creatures and a lot of secrets, when the squad of misfits, sent here to survive or die (and in all likelyhood die), start investigating they find more secrets, secrets they won't all survive and that might have long-term repercussions.
