knowledge is power and power corrupts

Ink and Bone - Rachel Caine

What if the Great Library at Alexandria never fell. What if it kept accumulating knowledge and found technology to control texts, to ensure that the only texts people have are on a device something like a kindle, only magic. What if owning private books is a crime.  What if one teen, the son of a black market book smuggler is sent to the library to study to be a scholar.  What if he finds that this is a good place for him, if only there wasn't corruption and power-hungry zealots and his family...

I enjoyed it, I'm looking forward to the sequels and to see where Rachel Caine goes with this.
