And the politics gets more complicated and the characters more bogged down in details. Schuyler Van Alen needs to read the vampire manual, Mimi and Jack are still squicky, and several other characters do things that appear out of character, but are they?
It's interesting and I do want to read what happens next, but this story didn't really engage me and I felt like everything happened near the end. Until the end I really thought about abandoning this series.
